Alongside the flagship Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, Huawei also launched the TalkBand B3 wearable at an event in London. The wearable will be available in three variants – Classic, Elite and Active, priced at €169 (approx. INR 12,800), €199 (approx. INR 15,000) and €249 (18,900) respectively. The bands are available in variations, Classic in Brown and Beige metal bands, Elite in Titanium Gray and Active in Black or White rubber bands.
Like its predecessor, the band comes with a Bluetooth earpiece and that has received some major updates as well. The band is passive and the earpiece sits on the top of it. The company says the device is more ergonomic than before and has a better chipset for better audio performance. The wearable fitness band is said to deliver louder audio by up to 25 percent than the Talkband B2. The wind noise cancellation has also been bumped up by 80 percent.
The band is IP57 rated and it automatically tracks all activities, including cycling, running, sleeping, climbing among others. The earpiece features a PMOLED display with 128×80 pixels resolution, which is protected by a 3D-curved Gorilla Glass layer. The band shows notification from smartphones as well, when it is connected to Android and iOS devices through the accompanying Wear app. It houses 91mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 6 days of standby mode.
