The majority of the smartphone makers have already unveiled some exciting VR headsets, including Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive, LG 360 VR headset among others. And, now the homegrown smartphone company Karbonn has entered the most competitive segment, which has been already conquered by major companies in the world.
Karbonn India has launched two affordable smartphones in India today – the Quattro L52 and Titanium Mach 6 – bundled with a Karbonn VR headset in India. The company wants to take the immersive technology to the masses, who cannot afford premium VR headsets.
The company says the VR headset is entirely built with sturdy ABS plastic fiber that can offer an “enhanced life-like viewing experience.” The VR headset comes equipped with bi-convex lenses which augment a video to provide a theatre-like experience. Karbonn says that both Karbonn Quattro L52 and Titanium Mach Six come pre-installed with a VR app which will allow users to create their own VR videos.
