The Legend of Zelda smartphone game

Nintendo is bringing its premium franchise The Legend of Zelda to smartphones, according to The wall Street Journal. The report says that Nintendo is in the process of making a smartphone game based on the Zelda series with DeNa, which will be released sometime later in 2017.

The game will get an official release date following the release of the mobile version of Animal Crossing game. And this report goes by Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima’s earlier remark that the company will launch two to three titles by the end of financial year 2018. Nintendo said in earnings reports that there will be a delay in launching the Animal Crossing title, but WSJ reports it will arrive in second half of 2017.

The Legend of Zelda is so popular among the Nintendo Switch console and it would be the biggest title for the mobile yet. There’s on details about the Zelda mobile game on when it will be released or will be free-to-play with in-app purchases like Fire Emblem or paid like Super Mario Run, which costs $10 on mobile.
