LeEco has finally taken the wraps off its latest smartphones – Le 2 and Le Max 2 in India that were initially unveiled earlier this year. The Le 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 11,999. The Le 2 Max will be available in two variants in terms of RAM, storage – 4GB/32GB model costs Rs. 22,999 and the 6GB/64GB model will set you back by Rs. 29,999. Both phones will come bundled with a one-year free subscription of LeEco content service.
Apart from smartphones, the company also announced the CDLA Continual Digital Lossless Audio standard. It introduced a new ‘Type-C Audio’ interface that offers high isolation. Priced at Rs. 1,990, the CDLA Type-C earphones is claimed to be the world’s first headphone having CDLA standard. LeEco latest smartphones are said to be the first in the world to ditch the standard audio port. Instead, they have a USB Type-C port.
Both smartphones are powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco’s Emotion UI 5.8 skin on top. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phones. The package will include a USB Type-C earphone and you’ll have to buy the CDLA Type-C earphone separately.
As far specifications, the Le 2 which is the successor of Le 1s features a 5.5-inch 1080p display packed inside a full metal chassis. It is powered by a 1.8GHz deca-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor (four cores clocked at 1.8GHz plus four cores at 1.4GHz) with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The handset has a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery that is powered by fast charging tech. It will be available in Rose Gold.
Next off is the Le Max 2, the flagship model, which has a 57-inch quad-HD bezel-less display, a Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 graphics, option of 4GB RAM with 32GB storage or 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 21-megapixels on the back, 8-megapixels on the front, and features the world’s first ultrasonic fingerprint sensor powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sense ID. There’s a 3100mAh battery with fast charging as well.
