Panasonic India on Thursday launched its 4G-enabled smartphone in India called the ELUGA A2 for Rs. 9,940. The handset is equipped with a massive 4000mAh battery that offers extra long battery life at this segment and supports voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) as well. The device will be available in Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver.
The ELUGA A2 is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor and has a 5-inch display, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, a microSD expansion slot (up to 128GB), 8-megapixels on the back, 5-megapixels at the front and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with FitHome UI atop.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and FM radio. It measures 143.8x72x8.9mm, and weighs 167.5 grams.
“With ELUGA A2, we aim to deliver maximum experience to our customers with a phone packed with features. Our new smartphone is a 4G VoLTE device with 3GB RAM and 4,000 mAh battery, thus, providing a better solution to consumers who want long operational hours on a 4G VoLTE,” Pankaj Rana, business head (mobility division), Panasonic India, said in a statement.
Panasonic is also offering a protective screen guard as a free accessory worth Rs. 399 with the device.
