Prey (2017) Will Have Wide Variance of Multiple Endings

Prey 2017

The Prey 2017, which is the next standalone title from Arkane Studios’, from the gaming studio that released the critically acclaimed ‘Dishonored 2’ last November, will be launched in May this year. There have been huge speculations over the nature of the game as it carries the same title as 2006’s Human Head Studios-developed Prey, the new rebooted Prey will be no way related with that game.

Prey was originally announced in E3 2016 by Bethesda, which offered the licensing of the game to Arkane Studios, and there was not much information about the game revealed since then.  Recently, the publisher held a hand-on session of the game in California and game lovers who played a portion of it praised Prey as it will definitely storm as of late this year.

The Prey 2017 is different than that of the original title and it is likely a reboot than a seques which has a dynamic gameplay that depends on the nature of the player. It has different endings and in fact multiple endings which purely depends on the decision making of the payer and how you treat the survivors on the station and what you do with them determines the results of the game. Gamers will reprise as Morgan Yu, who is the payer in the game, will be tasked with missions to take on the alien race called Typhon.

There are consequences throughout and at the end, especially for what you do with the survivors that you meet. There are definitely multiple endings–a wide variance. There’s two main branches, mostly centered around the fate of the space station and the survivors, but then within those branches, there’s tons of little permutations.

Paulmichael Contreras of PlayStation Lifestyle wrote, “The most interesting thing about these aliens is that their behaviors are not scripted and that they are capable of taking on the form of any random object. As soon as they are triggered, they attack.”

As per reviews, the game will be a brain teaser that the player will be put in the state of tension and fear of what lies in the corner. The player will be guided by a system and after a point Morgan discovers that he was being experimented, he unravels the mystery surrounding him. The player will have the ability and tools to get him out of the puzzles and attack aliens in different modes.

According to the creative director of Prey, Raphael Colantonio, the gameplay will be around anywhere between 15 to 40 hours. The game is slated to launch on May 5 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
