Ringing Bells has just unveiled an entry-level smartphone in India, dubbed Freedom 251, arguably the cheapest smartphone in the world.
Priced at Rs. 251, which is almost $4 at the current currency exchange rates, the smartphone gets all the bells and whistles needed for a decent smartphone.
The Freedom 251 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The handset sports a 4-inch qHD IPS display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. In terms of camera, the handset boasts 3.2-megapixels on the back and a 0.3-megapxeil front snapper, and packs in a 1,450mAh battery.
The Freedom 251 comes with a one-year warranty, and the company has over 650 service centers across the country. It will be available to order from the company’s official website starting 6:00 AM tomorrow (February 18).
