Aside Gear VR Headset, Samsung has also launched the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic smartwatches in India. The smartwatches will retail at Rs. 24,300 for Gear S2 and Rs. 25,800 for S2 Classic through the company’s retail stores starting Thursday.

The Gear S2 smartwatches are the first form Samsung to have circular design pattern and the dial faces with Indian themes would be an added features to the Indian specs.

The highlight of the smartwatches is that the rotating bezel that lets users access all required information with few taps. There are home and back buttons as well. As far specs, both the wearables feature a 1.2-inch round Super AMOLED (360 x 360 pixels) display with 302ppi pixel density.

Powering the watches is a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage, which runs Tizen OS. The smartwatches packs in 250mAh battery with wireless charging support. Other specifications include IP68-certified, accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate, ambient light, and barometer sensor.

Currently, the smartwatches are compatible with Android-powered devices running Android v4.4 and above. Also, the company noted that the wearable will soon be compatible with the iOS devices as well.
