The handset maker has now entered the crowded wearable market with its first product, the F-Band fitness tracker going on sale in India starting January 7. Priced at Rs. 1,499, Swipe F-Band will have to face a tough competition from its rivals, who had already established their footprint in India.
Unlike other wearables that are offered at this price point, F-Band sports a display making it look merely a smart watch. Much like many other fitness trackers, F-Band offers the ability to track your steps and monitor your sleep. The F-Band keeps a tab on your activity throughout the day and gives useful insights such as the number of calories you’ve burned. You can check all these pieces of information using company’s F-Band app. Users can save up to a year worth of data, Swipe said.
Just by connecting Swipe F-Band to your smartphone over a Bluetooth, you’ll be able to access your phone’s notification down on the wearable screen. It equips a 55mAh battery, which would keep the wearable alive for seven days on a single charge.
The wearable comes in blue and red color options, and will be available to purchase from January 7 on Snapdeal. While it is priced at Rs. 1,499, the first 100 customers can snag the gadget at Rs. 1,299.
