Making typo mistakes while sending messages are usual but the annoying thing is that the user will have to highlight the typo with asterisk sign in the conversation or resend the corrected message again. The most popular messaging, Telegram has introduced has made it easy for people with the new an update that brings the ability to edit the messages after they’ve sent along with other new features.
With the new feature, you’ll be able to edit the sent messages with 2 days after they’ve been posted and it works with one-on-one conversations and group chats.
“Simply tap and hold on a message, then press ‘Edit’. If you’re on desktop, press the up arrow button to edit your last message,” the company explained in a blog post. “The messages will display a small ‘edited’ label so that it’s easy to tell which were altered.”
The update also brings a new feature called Mentions that allows you to mention people in a group even if they don’t have a username. They will receive a notification even if they muted the group. Just type the @ symbol and select whoever you would like to address.
Another interesting thing with the update is the People list. You can now get to your recent chats much faster using the new People list in Search.
Along with these features, the update brings some interface improvements and accessing inline bots are now made easy.
