curved-edge screen

Samsung introduced the curved edge display prototypes a few years ago, and pioneered in the segment with its Galaxy Note Edge. The technology is still getting better with gentler curves on both sides, and its recent S7 Edge is no different. We have recently reported that Vivo will be joining the revolutionary segment with the recently announced Xplay5.

Several reports have claimed that other manufactures are in talks with Samsung for their curved-edge displays and the company is in fact selling curved displays to other Chinese allies, including Xiaomi. Rumors are confirming that the Mi Note 2 will be the next in line to get some flair decals in on the sides. The Mi Note was launched back in January last year, and it is due to be replaced sometime soon.

Other rumored manufacturer that has been in line with the South Korean conglomerate is the Huawei, which will be announcing its curved-edge display flagship at some point through the year, and it’s likely to be the successor of Mate S. Huawei will be launching its dual-camera setup smartphone – the Huawei P9 on April 9.
