Xiaomi has officially announced that its upcoming Redmi 3 will feature a larger and efficient 4,100mAh battery. The company posted a teaser image on Weibo, confirming its battery size. The image also reveals that the phone is made thin despite its larger battery.
As of now, the confirmed specs include a 5-inch display, 4,100mAh battery and a metal chassis with a unique plaid design on the back. For remaining specs, we’ve to rely on rumors suggesting a Snapdragon 616 SoC, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD extension of 128GB. Camera-wise, you’ll get 13-meagapixels on the back and 5-megapixels on the front. The handset runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is scheduled for launch on January 12.
