Videocon launches budget Krypton series smartphones in India; Prices starts at Rs. 5,999

To bid the increasing affordable mobile segment in India, Videocon has launched two new affordable smartphones, dubbed Videocon Krypton V50DA priced at Rs 5,999 and the Krypton V50DC at a price of Rs 6,099, respectively.

The Krypton V50DA features a 5-inch FWVGA display with a 854 x 480 pixel screen resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor paired with 1GB RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop, the smartphone includes an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera along with a 2MP front facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), microUSB, GPS and A-GPS. A 3000mAh battery completes the package and the device is rated to deliver up to 280 hours of standby time and up to 7.5 hours of talk-time.

On the other hand, the Krypton V50DC packs the same specs of the Krypton V50DA smartphone except the camera. Here, the camera unit boasts 8MP rear and 5MP front snapper units.
