VLC is useful for playing almost all type of media formats on Apple devices, thanks to the developers. Also, the app can be linked to cloud services like Dropbox and even iCloud to pull media files.

The VLC for iOS update includes an updated watchOS 2 app for Apple Watch. VLC app now supports system wide search through Spotlight, Split View for side-by-side apps on the latest iPads, and Touch ID unlocking on iPhones and iPads with fingerprint scanners.
