Xiaomi’s latest addition to its TV 3 series is the Mi TV 3 featuring a 70-inch 4K screen, which is the largest TV in terms of screen size in the Chinese company’s TV line-up.
Xiaomi Mi TV 3 features a 4K display from Sharp with a screen resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and has over 85 percent NTSC color gamut and 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports 178-degree viewing angle. Powering the smart television is a 1.4GHz quad-core MStar 6A928 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM and Mali-760 MP4 GPU. It also includes 8GB on-board for storing media content.
Mi TV 3 is all metal design with an elegant metal frame, metallic body finishing and a full metal back plate. It measures 12.9 at the thinnest point and up to 38.6mm at the thickest part. On the connectivity front, it includes Bluetooth v4.1 LE, HDMI 2.0 (3x), Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, USB 3.0 and Ethernet port. The new Mi TV 3 supports almost all video formats including H.265 4K at 60 or 30fps and features2.5-inch full range stereo speakers, Dolby DTS Virtual Surround Sound and Bass Boost.
The new Mi TV 3 is priced at CNY 9,999 ($1541 or Rs. 1,02,250) at the current exchange rates. The Mi TV 3 will soon go on sale in China. There’s no word about its availability in other markets.
