Xiaomi shipped over 10 Million Mi Bands in 2015

In the first nine months of 2015, Xiaomi has fulfilled over 10 million Mi Band wearable shipment worldwide. Of those, Taiwanese market alone has received 600,000 wearable units.

Back in June, the company spokesperson claimed to have shipped above 6 million units worldwide. As per the company statement above, around 4 million shipments were fulfilled between June to September.

Mi Band activity tracker was launched back in August 2014, and the company was able to sell one million units in India alone. The claimed numbers seem to be interesting, but various sources even confirm the same. The product has sustained in all markets due to its reasonable price and performance.

Last month, Xiaomi has launched the second edition of the Mi Band called the MI Band 1S (MI Band Pulse in some countries) with several improvements including optical heart-rate sensor and aesthetic changes. It was also IP67 certified dust and water resistant. It is priced at CNY 99 (approx. Rs. 1030) in China, however, a display was still absent in the activity tracker.
