Xiaomi today announced the Android-powered Mi TV 3S at a media conference in China. The Mi TV 3S will be available in two versions – 65” with 4K curved Samsung screen and 43” Flat HD variant.
The Mi TV 3S curve features a 65” ultra thin Samsung curved display offering a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160p with the minimalistic bezels just measuring 5.9mm thickness, and, of course, it is packed together with full metal. The screen offers 4,000:1 contrast, 176° viewing angle, 78% NTSC color gamut coverage.
The TV is powered by an MStar 6A928 processor that has four Cortex-A17 CPU cores, a Mali-T760MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, and if you feel it is less sufficient, there is one USB 3.0 port to hook up an external drive. It also includes a USB 2.0, and support for Wi-Fi or Ethernet. You’ll experience true sound with its Dolby and DTS audio dual decoding. Apart from these, you’ll get a free Mi TV bar that equips independent 6-piece sound system. It is priced at RMB 9,000 ($1,385), and unfortunately, it is only available for purchase in China.
The 43” variant sports a 1080p screen with 10.9mm ultra-thin metal body and frame. The TV is powered by an MStar 6A908 processor that four Cortex-A9 CPU cores, and a Mali-T450 GPU. Running Android, It also offer support for Dolby DTS audio dual decoding. This one is priced at RMB 1,800 ($277).
