As expected, the Chinese handset maker has launched the Redmi Note Prime in India. The handset is priced at Rs. 8,499 which will be available only on Amazon India and Mi.com starting tomorrow.
The Redmi Note Prime being the second device in the “Made in India” lineup after Redmi 2 Prime will be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with Foxconn.
Specs wise, the Redmi Note Prime runs MIUI 7 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD display and powered by a Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It has 16GB of storage onboard which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It also equips 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front sensor and packs a 3100mAh battery.
