Suriya starring Singam 3 aka Si 3 is all set to release on February 9th, and the film is not able to hit the screens as per schedule. The makers have postponed the film for the fourth time citing the tense situation prevailing in the state due to state-wide protest in favor of lifting the ban on Jallikattu.
The film was originally planned for a release on December 16, and later pushed the release to December 23, owing to Christmas holiday weekend. With cyclone Vardah hitting the city, the release of the film was pushed further to January 26. And, now citing to protest issue, the makers have held the release of the film. It is said the film will hit the screens on the 9th of February.
Singam 3 is the third installment in the Singam franchise and the first Tamil trilogy film. The previous installment didn’t do well at the box office like the first part. However, Suriya fans were eagerly waiting patiently for the release despite multiple postponements.
What to Expect:
The film has created much hype with the release of the trailer which didn’t let audience down. The trailer gave us a glimpse of what we can expect from the film, without revealing the plot of the film. The film is eying for a solo release, so the film is expected to get massive opening.
The second part, Singam 2 failed to impress the audience; however, it will not repeat again with Singam 3. In Singam 2, we saw Durai Singam encounters in foreign. But in the third part, around 75% of the film was filmed in foreign locales. As per sources, the film is set in Australia that exposes the bitter scam just like the first two episodes.
Just like the previous encounters, Suriya will be dealing with local mafia backed by international corporate baddies. Singam 3 is likely expected to expose an international scam that has been widely discussed in business portals.
Since the film is helmed by Hari, who is better known for his film with sleek action sequences, we can expect some power packed actions. With their collaboration already had proved in previous outings, Si 3 is also expected to have mass fight and powerful punches.
Even if the film has a diluted story, Hari will manage that with an engaging and gripping narration. The songs have already being buzzed here and there so the visuals of the songs are to be noted.
Although, Singam 2 failed to satisfy audience, the film grossed over Rs 100 crore and joined the prestigious 100 crore club. With the current hype and expectations, Si 3 will cross the 100 crore mark without much effort.
