Google PhotoScan app scans your old photos easily

Google Photos from Google serves to be the best management tool for your photos and videos, but what about those old memorable prints that you put safe in the store rooms. It is not that easy to get them digitize as that needs a great deal of time and effort.

But, with a new app from Google powered by Google Photos ‘PhotoScan’, you don’t have to scan and mail your old prints to photo companies and wait them for a long to get them digitized. If you attempt to take a photo of photos, it would end up with glare and unstable. It is hard to get them flat in photos.

Google has introduced PhotoScan, a new standalone app, available on both Android and iOS that allows you to scan old prints on the go.

The digital transformation seems to be tremendous. You need to take a photo of a photo at first, the app identifies the four edges of the photo and displays circular overlaps on them. Just point your camera at each circle, which creates a robust photo in seconds.

PhotoScan gets you great looking digital copies in seconds – it detects edges, straightens the image, rotates it to the correct orientation, and removes glare. Scanned photos can be saved in one tap to Google Photos.

Unlike taking photos of the prints which end in glaring, shadows, and un-straightened photo, the four corner scanning technique captures multiple copies of the image and stitch them together eliminating glare and all possible digital deterioration.

Alongside PhotoScan, Google has also rolled out a few improvements for the native Google Photos: a new and improved auto enhance, unique new looks, and advanced editing tools.

The new free PhotoScan app is available for Android and iOs right away, while the new features of the Google Photos will also be rolling out by the end of the week.
