OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T Starts Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update

OnePlus has finally started rolling the latest Android 7.0 Nougat Update based Oxygen 4.0 OS to the users of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The update has been released over-the-air (OTA) which is a staged rollout and users will be receiving the update notification this week.

The company calls the roll out as ‘incremental rollout’ meaning the update will be pushed in batches and the roll out will complete by this weekend. It’s worth noting that the update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and not Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The update brings in better shelf customisation, new notifications and settings design, multi-window view, support for direct reply of notifications, custom DPI support, and the ability to choose status bar icons. This update also makes Quick Launch available to third-party apps.

If you can’t wait until the update hits your device, you can manually download the Open Beta 1 update and install it on your device. We recommend using a reliable Wi-Fi connection when downloading the open OTA update and make sure your device battery is full.
