Reliance Jio today pulled out its Summer Surprise offer from website and mobile app after Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) asked the company to withdraw the offer. The offer that was introduced earlier this month allowed Jio Prime members to avail three months free unlimited data as compliment on first recharge of Rs. 303 and above.
Jio Prime members were disappointed soon after the company announced that it will withdraw the offer, however, those who had availed the offer before Jio’s official announcement will still be entitled to the offer. The company has updated its website and MyJio app that reads, “We are updating our tariff packs and will be soon INTRODUCING more exciting OFFERS.”
Jio rolled back the Jio Prime membership option and Summer Surprise offer from website, however, users can enroll to Prime until April 15, 2017 after which users will need to recharge to continue to avail the service. Jio seems to updating its database to affect the withdrawal of Summer Surprise offer, and therefore users will not be able to access the recharge history as well as those who had done recharges for “Buy One Get One” free offer will also not be able to see it in the “My plan” tab.
We can expect Jio to roll out the new tariffs and exciting offers soon and these new offers will be impressive as the company’s previous offers.
